VE Day 70th Anniversary Celebration – Thank You
Remembering Victory In Europe: An Evening of Reflection, Thanks and Fun
The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial extends deep gratitude to the following individuals and organizations that made this special event possible:
- City of Royal Oak for providing land that will bear the memorial and for the flag that graced it on this day. We especially want to thank Greg Rassel, Director Recreation and of Public Services.
- The Yankee Air Museum who provided the glorious Yankee Lady B-17 Flyover. We especially want to thank Dave Callahan for coordinating all activities relative to the flyover.
- Ed Burkhardt for coordinating the unfurling presentation of our 30 by 60 foot American flag and state of Michigan flag.
