25’ Sailor and Nurse Seen Kissing in Memorial Park

On Monday, June 20, 2016, the dramatic Embracing Peace sculpture by renowned American artist Seward Johnson, was installed at Memorial Park at the northeast corner of Woodward Avenue and 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak, Michigan adjacent to the future home of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial.

Embracing Peace will be here through 2016 to call attention to our $3,000,000 fundraising campaign.

Parking Notes

When visiting Embracing Peace, please do NOT park in the fire station driveway in consideration of the fire fighters and the people of Royal Oak they serve. There is parking available to the north of the sculpture in front of the flag pole just south of Village Automotive. Click here for a map.
