Kissing The War Goodbye
Come join us on “Spirit of ’45 Day,” Sunday, August 14 at 1:00 (the Sunday before Dream Cruise) as we re-enact the kiss that marked the end of WWII.
The event is at Memorial Park, the future home of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial, on the northeast corner of Woodward Avenue and 13 Mile Road, Royal Oak.
We need both kissers and cheering onlookers to surround Seward Johnson’s massive 25′ portrayal of that famous moment. Dressing up is encouraged, but not required.
See to the right what this looked like last year in Times Square.
