“I am honored to have an opportunity to support the Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial. Through the great work of Honor Flight, we are able to pay due respect to the veterans of World War II. Now we have an opportunity to further enshrine the sacrifices and achievements of Michigan veterans through The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial. This memorial will forever serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Michigan veterans as well as the strength of our great nation.

I know that I can feel proud to bring my children to this monument that memorializes Michigan veterans. This memorial provides a great opportunity to explain to them the great sacrifices that were made by their fellow citizens in the defense of freedom. Indeed, this is a lesson that all of our citizens should remember and teach to their children. As such, I support the construction of this memorial and the message it enshrines.”
